How to host a Minecraft server without port forwarding
You need a Minecraft server running on your computer and five minutes. The Enzonic Relay agent gives it a public address without any router changes.

What you need
- A Minecraft Java server on Windows 10 or 11, macOS or Linux (for example Paper, Fabric or vanilla), listening on port 25565.
- An Enzonic account (free).
Using the Enzonic Launcher? It can create the server and the tunnel for you: see hosting from the launcher.
1. Install the agent
On Linux or macOS:
curl -fsSL https://relay.enzonic.com/install.sh | shOn Windows, in PowerShell as Administrator:
irm https://relay.enzonic.com/install.ps1 | iexThe installer checks the download's SHA-256 and registers the agent as a background service (systemd, launchd or a Windows service).
2. Claim the agent
The installer prints a code like ABCD-EFGH and a link to relay.enzonic.com/claim/ABCD-EFGH. Open it, sign in and press Approve. The code expires after 15 minutes; run enzonic-relay-agent claim for a new one.
3. Create a Java tunnel
In the dashboard, choose New tunnel, pick Minecraft Java, port 25565 and a name. Or on the server's computer:
enzonic-relay-agent tunnel add --proto java --port 255654. Share the address
A tunnel named steve is reachable at steve.r.enzonic.dev, with no port. Friends open Multiplayer, Add Server, and type it in.
5. Recommended server settings
- Keep
online-mode=trueso only real Minecraft accounts can join. - Players arrive through the agent, so your server sees connections from 127.0.0.1. Ban and whitelist by name or UUID, not by IP.
- Use a whitelist if you share the address publicly.
Free plan limits
6 tunnels, 3 agents, 20 players at once per tunnel and 100 GB a month, 20 Mbit/s per tunnel and 7 days of stats. A Minecraft player typically uses well under 1 Mbit/s. See pricing for Plus and Pro.
Frequently asked questions
Does this work behind CGNAT or on mobile internet?
Yes. The agent only makes outbound connections, so nothing has to reach your router from outside.
Do my friends need to install anything?
No. They add yourname.r.enzonic.dev as a server in Minecraft.
Can I host a modded server?
Yes. The relay forwards the connection; Forge, NeoForge, Fabric and plugin servers all work as long as players have the matching mods.
What happens if a relay node goes down?
Your tunnels move to a healthy node in the same region, or the paired region, and the agent follows within about 30 seconds. The r.enzonic.dev name keeps working.
